Operated by SmashTaps Pvt Ltd
Last updated: 23 May 2026
1. About Moose
Moose is a WhatsApp-based networking assistant for events, operated by SmashTaps Pvt Ltd (“SmashTaps”, “we”, “us”, “our”). Moose helps event attendees discover relevant people to meet and facilitates introductions through WhatsApp. By using Moose, you agree to these Terms of Use.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Moose. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. How Moose works
- Joining: You begin using Moose by messaging the designated WhatsApp number for an event, typically by scanning a QR code or tapping a link provided by the event organiser.
- Profile building: Moose asks you a few questions to understand what you are working on, your interests, and who you would like to meet. Your responses are used to build a private profile for matching purposes.
- Matching: Moose suggests other attendees at the same event who may be relevant to you based on your profile.
- Introductions: Introductions only happen when both you and the other attendee opt in. Moose then facilitates the connection, for example by creating a WhatsApp group with a brief introduction message.
- Anonymity: Your contact details are not shared with other attendees until you opt in to an introduction. Before that, you may be referenced by an anonymous handle.
4. Your responsibilities
By using Moose, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about yourself and your professional interests.
- Use the service for legitimate professional networking purposes.
- Treat other attendees with respect in all interactions facilitated by Moose.
- Not use Moose to harass, spam, or send unsolicited commercial messages to other attendees.
- Not attempt to extract other attendees' personal information through deceptive means.
- Not use Moose for any illegal or harmful purpose.
- Not attempt to reverse-engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the Moose service.
5. Event organiser relationship
Moose is made available at events through arrangements with event organisers. The event organiser is responsible for informing attendees that Moose is available and for any event-specific terms or guidelines. SmashTaps is not the organiser of your event and is not responsible for the event itself.
6. Introductions and connections
Moose facilitates introductions but does not guarantee outcomes. We do not guarantee that you will find relevant matches at every event, that introductions will lead to productive conversations, or that other attendees' information is accurate. You are responsible for your own interactions with other attendees after an introduction is made.
7. Intellectual property
The Moose service, including its name, branding, technology, and content, is owned by SmashTaps Pvt Ltd. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the service without our written permission.
8. Disclaimers
Moose is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, SmashTaps disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that:
- The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
- Matches or introductions will meet your expectations.
- Other attendees' information is accurate or complete.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SmashTaps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Moose, including but not limited to damages arising from introductions, interactions with other attendees, or loss of data.
Our total liability for any claim arising from or related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to use Moose (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
